Red Cross

The Swedish Red Cross is starting to get on my nerves.
Here in my hometown of Stockholm, they are backing away from running two senior citizen homes because they are not paid enough.
“Sometimes we even have to take money out of our pocket to cover our costs. Clearly an unsustainable situation,” complained one manager.
But isn’t that the whole point – that you use the money we give you to help people? When did the Red Cross become a profit center?
